Brasher, pronounced with a long "a", is a tiny town in the Brasher Falls State Park in St. Lawrence County. According to Wikipedia, the town was first created in the early 1800's from the neighboring municipalities of Massena and Stockholm. It is located very close to the U.S.-Canada border near the intersection of Quebec and Ontario.
